David's victory over Goliath was not because he fought well, but because he believed well. May believing God be our priority!

Stone Laying
We started laying stone on the house October 31, 2008. Abe's sisters, Natasha, Jan and Mariela were here from N. Carolina for a week. They have layed stone before. This is Abe and Jan smoothing the grout. This is by the french door coming out the family room in the basement.
O Christ, my life, possess me utterly. Take me and make a little Christ of me. If I am anything but my Father's son, 'Tis something not yet from the darkness won. Oh, give me light to live with open eyes. Oh, give me life to hope above all skies. Give me thy spirit to haunt the Father with my cries. - George MacDonald
A recovering "virtuous woman", I'm "Mama" to 4 girls and 2 boys. Who I am is in God's hands, and He's not finished yet! My husband, Abe, is a farmer, raising crops organically and beef on the side. Our marriage and family is a work in progress that I have confidence God is building every day. I love discovering fresh evidence of God's love.

My Dream
I have a dream. A dream which keeps me looking up and forward. A dream, that even tho' life's scenes change, will never be forsaken. A dream for which I would give anything and everything for. I am. I will. My dream is... to be, not fulfilled in myself, but in Him. To not, "do something with my life" but to let Him do something with His life, in me. I dream of being, truly... Dead - yet alive Busy - yet at rest Empty - yet overflowing Hungry - yet full Poor - yet rich In darkness - yet full of light And always... always in love. Love that never lets me go. The best part is, this isn't a fairytale dream. This dream has come true, it was true yesterday and today, and it's a dream for the future. You see, I am persuaded, neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Written in 1993)
God - You must be so kind... to relentlessly pursue us in spite of self's determined ways. God - You must be so patient... to let us learn things in our own ways at such slow paces, when You hold the key! God - You must be so faithful... to uphold us when we have not been holding onto You, truly. God - You must be so good... to love us so unerringly and to work everything for our good. God - You must believe confidently in Your power within us...to commit Your life to these earthen vessels. Lord - I believe... help Thou mine unbelief!
